James Behr,  Adj. Assoc. Professor at Manhattan College, lectures on piano, theory and music appreciation  He uniquely shares his artistry as award-winning and critically acclaimed pianist, composer and recording artist.  Hailed by The Boston Globe as “a demon pianist” and InTheFray Magazine as "genius composer," he is a prizewinner in numerous competitions, including distinguished New York musical theater festivals (as composer) and First Prize in the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition with a performance at Carnegie Hall.  Behr has performed hundreds of concerts throughout the U.S., including the Ravinia and Tanglewood festivals, TV, radio, and as soloist with the Virginia Symphony, Naples Philharmonic and Florida Symphonic Pops.  A Steinway Artist, Behr is a graduate of Juilliard (M.M. & B.M), Northwestern University (B.A.) and City University of New York (Juris Doctorate).
